Global climatic changes refer to the long-term significant changes that occur globally . These changes affect the average weather conditions that are experienced in a given region or area . Elements of weather that are

affected include temperature , precipitation and wind patterns These changes can be caused by human activities , variations in sunlight intensity and dynamic earth processes .Human activities are responsible for the current global climatic changes . Human activities are 5 times more likely to cause climatic changes than the solar irradiance . Since 1950 , studies have shown that most of the global warming has been caused by greenhouse gas increases , an example by volcanic eruptions and human activities Increase in carbon dioxide and other green house gas cause temperature increases and consequently climatic changes . Climatic changes in turn have their impacts on both human beings and the environment

In this , the impacts of global climatic changes will be discussed in relation to a pharmaceutical company . The imaginary pharmaceutical company will be referred to as Markoy Pharmaceutical Company . A pharmaceutical company depends on natural resources as raw materials for medicine production . Both plants and animals parts and tissues are used to provide extracts that are used in production of medicine . Climatic changes may reduce the number of medicinal plants and numbers or even push them to extinction . Sustainable management of the natural resources when extracting the company 's raw materials will prevent over-exploitation of the resources . Overexploitation may cause habitat destruction which makes the ecosystem vulnerable to causal effects of global climatic changes .The ecosystem natural functions are affected and consequently the survival of organisms in a natural environment . The living organisms may be affected by weather conditions as a result of emissions of green house gases that results to climatic changes . In addition climatic changes may cause diseases in humans , plants and animals that demand invention of appropriate medical solution (medicine . The pharmaceutical company has a lot to loose due to climatic changes . In this research , the management functions in the organization that will be discussed are planning and controlling The two functions are very important in the pharmaceutical company 's reduction and prevention of climatic changes

Planning refers to an organization 's setting of the performance expectations and goals in to channel its efforts towards achieving the organization 's objectives . The Markoy Pharmaceutical Company 's objectives in reducing climatic changes include to ensure production processes are pollution-free , sustainable exploitation of medicinal organisms from the environment and creation of awareness against human activities that cause climatic changes .In planning , the company will identify its main objectives and mission in reducing and preventing greenhouse gases emissions and other human effects that affect global climatic conditions .
