A Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Benefit Concert

Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra held a benefit concert at East Liberty Presbyterian Church October 15 , 2010 , 7 :00

.m . It was a concert for the benefit of the music education programs of the Hope Academy of Music and the Arts , Dilworth Elementary , CAPA Middle School and Obama 6-12 The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra performed music by Beethoven , Rossini Tchaikovsky and Mozart conducted by its resident conductor Lawrence Loh It was a Community Engagement Concert . Before the concert proper

there was a free pre-concert student recital featuring students from Dilworth Elementary 's World Drummers , CAPA 's Jazz Combo and Hope Academy 's East Liberty Community Engagement Orchestra (EL CEO ) and HAT Co Singers and Rock Band . After the concert there was a performance featuring Obama 's Steel Drummers and a bake sale which also supports the music education programs of the East Liberty community
