Without a doubt , this era is marked with an increasing world population together with the different advancements made in technology and other scientific discoveries . also brought major problems to the people of today . As it has been mentioned , the development in the fields of science and technology has been beneficial to humankind . One of these many advancements is the capability of people to engage in better , more efficient and more sophisticated forms of communications that usually goes beyond the territorial boundaries of the nations with just a click of a button . At the same time , the development of the computer , together with the internet and the World Wide Web is also a result of these technological innovations . The so-called computer age brought in a lot of changes for the whole world (Soon , 2006 . In addition to its capability to store and send volumes of data and images , the computer also contributes so much to the development of efficient and better communication as it is one of the many devices that could link people from the different parts of the world Aside from the advancements made in telecommunications , the developments made in science and technology paved the way for the growth in food production and the agricultural sector . The different technological advancements not just increased the number of food products that are being supplied (Soon , 2006 Miller , 2001 . Rather , it also made sure that the food products being supplied is of high quality In line with this , the production of manufactured goods such as vehicles , appliances , etc also increased which in the same way increased the quality of life and the standards of living (Miller 2001

The quality of life also increased due to the advancements made in health and medicine which targeted very important processes such as metabolism , respiration and aging (Soon , 2006 .
