Literary Analysis

Beowulf is an Anglo-Saxon literary work which is mixed with a modern type of literature . This literature by a certain Anglo-Saxon author basically shows the culture of the pre-Anglo-Saxon people through the kind of world and the kind of heroic behaviors that was written in the poetic work . In the first 2-300 lines of the poem , the value of being a descendant from a lineage of warriors and

thus most-known reputation people are depicted . This includes a line in the poem wherein it is said that within a warrior culture , name ' is very important to a person especially for those who are warriors in for them to be identified and be given high respect from the people . In Sheafson 's story in the opening lines of the poetic work , the depiction merely imposes the great achievement of such a hero . The poem depicted that the strength of a certain leader over others enables a certain land to acquire power and wealth which is considered heroic by the people under his leadership whom he protects and serves of his help

Thesis

What the poem really wanted its readers to understand is that during the old English period , people were mostly influenced by gold and treasure which covers their supposedly faith as Christians , and that all the enemies that Beowulf fought against are said to be the personal sins of each individual which are chasing tem through their conscience . Another is that the poem imposes how lineage of family and thus ancestry is important within the warrior 's culture during the early English period because having such reputation gives them the privilege of being respected so as to acquire wealth . Lastly , the poem wanted to show that being a King is not only wearing a crown but it means dedicating one 's self for the betterment of his people to assure their safety and wealth and to do the other responsibilities to being a leader

There are two themes that a certain reader could understand in the epical poem of Beowulf first is the Essence or importance of establishing an identity ' this theme explains how important it is for the Anglo-Saxons ' culture that a certain warrior establishes his own name or identity especially when a certain person came from a known lineage of warriors like for example , Beowulf as a warrior with a pagan warrior...
