Pavel Haas was a son to a well to do Jewish business man and was born on 6th June 1899 in Brno , the Moravian capital . His father was a Czech while his mother was a Russian . Pavel started his education normally and attended preliminary schools in Germany but because of some interruptions he shifted to a Czech institution where he finished his lower school lessons . Pavel started developing an interest in music while in his early

teen age perhaps partly because of the influence of his brother and uncle who were both professional film actors and music producers . His passion led him to study music at Philharmonic music school in Brno his hometown city . He is popular for various German musical compositions not forgetting the innumerable unfinished compositions . He had a nature of failing to complete his music composition , a character trait that lasted throughout his life . His music career was further shaped by Czech 's or in short , the Moravian folk music for example the atonal masterful expressions of Alban BergLeos and Janacek 's neoclassical and new tonal post war musical compositions . His first composition was released in the period between 1912 and 1917 and by his mid thirties Haas had already composed over fifty songs .
