Personal Statement

At an early age , I have already experienced the consequences of social unrest and complexities of life . My experiences in life have been my most influential drive that motivated me learn and understand the complexities of the society . My bitter experiences since childhood also inspired me to be a useful means in abating the sufferings brought by social unrest and social injustices . Hence , I pursued sociology in college

My desire to be an instrument in changing the life of people who had lost or ruined their lives due to

social injustices and life complexities have made me interested in living my whole life in the field of social work . In all facets of life and in all sectors in the society , social injustice and inequalities are prevalent . Various problems like poverty , crimes , child abuses , violence among the youth and many more have resulted from the inadequacy of the government parents , community and the society as whole in addressing the problem Remarkably , my perception of the society as an imperfect one has prompted me to devote most of my life in social work

My interest in social work has been continuously strengthened through my exposure in several social works , dealing with friends , and from my encounter with different people from all walks of life .
