Greetings

I am Lucy Tran , a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition Student seeking for an internship in dietetics in to acquire new knowledge and develop skills in the aforementioned field

I was born to Chinese parents who adhere to the traditions of the Chinese Culture . Being the eldest among four children , I was expected

to perform well in school , make good grades , and finish graduate and post-graduate degrees . However , I felt that I was not able to meet these expectations because I was doing something which I am not interested in I also felt pressure because I had to set an example to my younger siblings by excelling in my endeavors . Because of this , I went to college and took up business as my major and eventually shifted into biology . Even after entering college and taking up business and biology I still felt the desire to do something more and to pursue a course where I am truly interested in so that I may perform well and at the same time feel fulfilled

Three years ago , I enrolled into a summer class in nutrition . I found the course interesting especially dietetics . I learned the relation of nutrition to the human body . This was the main reason why I decided to enroll in an academic institution that offered dietetics as a major From then on , my grades improved from C 's to A 's . Aside from learning how to live a healthy life and realizing the importance of a balanced diet and physical activity , I developed more positive feelings towards the course and started to become more passionate with what I am doing . I finally felt the happiness and contentment because I found an arena where I can excel and make a difference and at the same time improve my physical well-being

I intend to finish my bachelor 's degree in Food and Nutrition and complete the dietetics internship . After which , I shall take the RD exam so that I may become a registered dietitian . I am striving to do well in my course work and at the same time perform my duties as a dietary aid at a hospital and as a tutor . Just like any person who wants to achieve intellectual growth , I want to obtain a graduate degree in Nutrition and specialize in one of its fields . In for me to realize all these goals , I personally believe that I should gain more experience in the field of dietetics . This will subsequently allow me to engage into research , food industry , private counseling , and health and fitness
