I very much agree to what the author said in the book that to start doing something , or to continue doing something , or to stop doing something , one has to be motivated . Same with learning , one has to be motivated

Learning for a fact is not for students only . Every individual is trapped in a world of learning . We may not be aware of it but in everything we do , we learn something new

Learning does not happen in the school premises alone . Learning also is not only acquired

through reading our textbooks , answering our assignments , listening to our teachers , surfing the Internet , or performing experiments . Learning , if one is willing , can happen anywhere , anytime , and whatever situation (s ) he /she is in

The author , in Chapter 1 of the book classifies motivation style into three--goal-motivated , relationship-motivated , and learning-motivated In my personal life , I am able to identify my motivation style . Some tips offered by the author are very much helpful . Though there is no assurance that these tips will be helpful to everyone

In academics , the author gives a new light to learning . Today 's world offers so many diversions to the usual classroom-oriented learning which many students eye as boring and time consuming . But the concepts discussed by the author could help these students look differently in their boring ' way of learning . In Chapter 10 , the author lists some preferences on how one can optimize the learning environment . Students can customize their environment to something that will encourage them to learn effectively

Like what I written earlier , students are not the only ones who should learn . Teachers , though they feed their students with ideas , are also learners . In their professional life , new learning is mostly acquired by experience . We know that not all teachers love to teach . A teacher who belongs to this group is often irritated and mood swings are noticeable In Chapter 4 , the author offers a way to having new perspective . Being a professional doesn 't stop a teacher from discovering himself /herself Having a new perspective might change one 's life direction

Even our parents can also learn new and more things from their experiences or from classroom-oriented learning . Many parents now attend to some short-offered courses . They find the feeling of going to classes again fun . But there are parents who find this idea a waste of time Chapter 4 of the book could also help these parents change their perspective

In my personal point of view as a learner , the book is a great tool to highly motivate learners who are pessimists in acquiring new learning The author has established a new perspective in gaining new knowledge This is also an awakening that learning doesn 't stop after graduation

The whole sense of learning is really fun , especially to those who love to know new things and to those who enjoy exploring the world . But whether we like to learn or not , we cannot hide from it . Learning is always...
