Herbert D . Keller has a great influence on me , since he is an example of a leader that I would like to become . I have a personal interest of establishing a private business enterprise , which I intend to make a great success . My desire is to build the enterprise through hard work and commitment similar to that of Keller after he co-founded the Southwest Airlines . I consider him an effective leader because he has proved to be one of the most successful Chief Executive Officers in the corporate world . There are several reasons why Keller has great influence on me . As a leader , Keller has shown his ambition and determination to lead well , and to succeed in whatever activity that he undertakes . This is clearly seen in his tireless efforts to work for so many years , efforts that have turned a small airline company into one of the most successful airline corporations in the world . The Southwest Airlines is an airline corporation that Herbert Keller co-founded with one of his law clients , well known as Rollin King . After establishment the small company faced the challenge of being frustrated by the other big companies . The two managed to overcome this challenge to build what is today the Southwest Airlines . As a leader , Keller is daring and is willing to take risks as he strives to succeed where competition with other airlines is stiff . He is very optimistic and willing to implement positive change when it 's appropriate . For instance , the airline under his leadership offered passengers services at low prices , while the other airline companies did the opposite .
