Understanding Organizational Behavior is one of the key factors that contribute to a profitable business . Many facets of OB have been explored and one of those is the impact and the role played by emotion in all its undertakings . In Robbins and Judge 's book on the Essentials of Organizational Behavior , they identified factors that differentiated situational or job characteristics from disposition or personality characteristics . According to this book , these two factors should

be made an inherent part in an organization 's recruitment process specifically in employee selection as this would affect an employee 's quality of work as well as how the business will be perceived by its customers .
