Introduction

The second half of the 20th century remains in the intellectual history of the Latin America as the time which saw major transition occur in the region . In this period of time there was widespread in nationalist and communists insurgencies which occasionally triumphed in various countries of the Latin America and other parts of the world . The insurgencies which were often referred to as `peasant wars ' were actually the proletariat revolutions which Karl Marx had

envisioned in his analysts of the communism . Instead , these peasant wars were precipitated by the Cold War geopolitical competition and also had roots in the long standing rural poverty which made them specifically troubling for the Western powers . This paper shall provide an outlook at the impacts of the revolutions which took place in Latin America during the second half of the 20th century on the individual citizens in this region in regard to the political ideologies , economics and social awareness
