Paper Topic:

Should we LEAVE iRAQ? WHY OR WHY ONT?

Should USA leave Iraq or not is a sixty thousand dollar question . This solely depends on some historical facts , present situation and the possible outcomes of the strategies in future . From historical point of view , the war on Iraq has not been fully justified till yet . Some opinions go in favor of the war and others do not . In this context let 's take a glimpse of two major opinions , i .e . Jimmy Carter and Elie Wiesel

Jimmy Carter , the 39th president of United States of America has written in one of

his article , As a Christian and as a president who was severely provoked by international crises , I became thoroughly familiar with the principles of a just war , and it is clear that a substantially unilateral attack on Iraq does not meet these standards (Carter Jimmy , Just War ------ or a Just War , New York Times , Sunday , March 9 2003

On the other hand Wiesel says , Though I oppose war , I am in favor of intervention when , as in this case because of Hussein 's equivocations and procrastinations , no other option remains (Wiesel , Elie , Peace Isn 't Possible in Evil 's Face , Los Angeles Times , March , 11 , 2003

But Carter is of the opinion that though Saddam Hussein 's has commited serious crimes , American efforts to tie Iraq to the 9 /11 terrorist attacks have been unconvincing . According to him , the attacks on the innocent people , and public places have not got the desired results of eradicating terrorism , instead it increased the level of harassment among the innocent Iraqi masses

Now after four years of devastation , assassination of Saddam and a progress towards the rehabilitation , the question arises , should US have stay in Iraq or not . In my opinion , US forces should evacuate Iraq . My opinion has some justifications . For instance , after a massive destruction , Iraqis are not in the position to come up with biological weapons . Secondly , the political arena of Iraq needs to be democratic by now , and the presence of forces may lead to further riots within the region

Though I 'm of the opinion that forces ought to be brought back , but the present circumstances in Iraq can not be left as it is . The political social and economic reforms are crucially needed in to compensate the loss civilians have undergone . In this context , the very first thing which is needed is the maintenance of peace and law and within the country , and for that the assistance of UN security forces is needed While managing these security forces , this element should be considered that the security forces should have the neutral origin , i .e . they ought not to be from the US alley 's origin , as this may lead to further terrorist activities by the local masses

In my opinion , leaving Iraq , and assisting Iraq to become a terrorist free and economically and politically established nation are two different things , but are overlapping as well . Due to the past events Iraqi masses do...
