In the last year of my college life , I was involved in research on the current trends in our justice systems . This is when may interest in juvenile justice was born . I was moved by the current situation in our society where more and more juveniles are becoming delinquent . Due to may interest in

juvenile justice , I started working part time in the juvenile detention center where I worked as an on-call detention officer . After weeks of working in the center , I knew that this was the job meant for me . Though the rewards for the part time job were small , taking care of the needs of these delinquent children was inspirational . Before I completed my studies at the university , I got another part time job in another detention center to gain more experience . I become more aware of the similarities between delinquent juveniles though each of them is unique in his or her own way . I realized that each of the juvenile offenders had an opportunity of becoming a better member of the society in the future if taken care off . How did you prepare for the field
