Introduction

Juvenile criminal justice system is quite different from the adult criminal justice system . The differences in the two systems reflect the differences existing between juveniles and adults . While a crime is a crime , the criminal justice system must take into consideration that unlike adults , juveniles have different needs and aspirations that have to be taken into consideration . For example although the criminal justice system is bound to punish the offender , there are special interest like

education and integration with the community that have to be taken into consideration . In to take care of these juveniles interests , there has to be a different between the juvenile system and the adult court system

Juvenile court is a special court that is designed to prosecute children and adolescent who have attained the mandatory age of majority .
