Why I Strive to Teach Deaf Children and Youth

People commonly associate children and youth with the future of the country as a whole , thinking that national or global problems that are left unsolved or that may yet arise may efficiently be solved by the succeeding generations . However , upon placing specific focus on deaf children and youth , the opinion

of most individuals suddenly changed into a much more pessimistic tone . Children and youth are indeed the hope of the country as their ideas will fire up the next generation of breakthroughs that will fuel human survival and improvement , hence not a single child or youth should be under evaluated rather , each should be guided to reach their full potential . Although certain challenges are undeniably present which may hinder the growth of deaf children and youth , it is still not an excuse for not being of help in guiding such children , especially by reinforcing their will to succeed and to change negative connotations , for them to get the most from life and to develop and eventually give back and contribute to society . Hence , I strive to teach deaf children and youth in to further prove that deaf individuals also have untapped potential , can abolish stereotypes , and can attain pride and confidence
