Jim Poss , a gadget freak from childhood , always knew that helping companies to be environment friendly would be big business in the future . After graduating in Environmental science and Geology , Jim spent a few years working in a variety of positions that gave him hands on experience in production engineering and sales . Looking to start on his own , Jim joined for MBA from Babson College during which he got the idea of Solar-powered Trash Compactors capable of reducing a lot of expense energy and human resources in garbage and trash handling . He handled

the initial phase of rejections from potential partners and investors positively and kept on trying to locate his resources . Seeing that wind energy companies were spending huge amounts on setting up static towers to collect wind and weather data in an area , he developed a business plan for a Data Acquisition Buoy that could be moved from point to point . But seeing that Investors were worried about potential damage from storms , Jim went back to his original idea and founded Seahorse Power Company (SPC . Consultation with Alex Perera , an environmental engineer provided positive insights into the possibilities of the Solar Compactor . The market was huge and the need for such a product was high for customers in remote area with large amounts of trash to manage , such as high range resorts , beaches , tourist sites etc .
