With the astonishing trend of web technology in the last 20 years , great changes have happened in every sector of life , for example college /university area . It brings about the changes on the means of teaching , administration /registration operations and procedures , such as e-library , e-learning , online based portal for administrative purposes and many other technologies . However , the technology is almost silent in handling of appointments between students and lecturers

There are two popular approaches in the colleges /universities (Behravanfar 2001 . Instructors either put appointment sheets on their doors-manually or set a fixed time within a given duration for students to book a meeting .
