CGI scripting is defined as a mini-program being stored on the networks remote server . Network administrator executes the scrip on the web server in case if a particular use requests for it . Actually , CGI scripts are written in either compiled or interpreted programming language . The main peculiarity is that CGI script is being running on the same machine where web server is being running . In other words , CGI script isn 't placed on local machine . Web server administrator defines the location of the required directory . Furthermore , CGI should be able to access all necessary meaning that all path should coincide with CGI 's directory
