Various cooperative models Students team achievement division , shortened to (STAD ) is a model where students of varying academic abilities are grouped into teams composed of four or five members . Any new study is not complete till all the members of group have clearly understood the material . Scores are assigned according to achievements by a team and the best team is recognized in the class newsletter (Leming , 1983 Team assisted individuation abbreviated as (TAI : a model in which cooperative teams like those of STAD are used with individualized guide in elementary mathematics

. There are student groups of four to five members with self instructional materials based on their own rates or levels . Checking , management and routing is the responsibility of students . They too assist each other in solving problems hence freeing the teacher that responsibility . Cooperative integrated reading on composition (CIRC : This is a reading and writing program for those students in grade 2 to 8 . Its main activities are story related actives , comprehension reading direct instructions , and reading and language arts activities . Students are grouped in pairs and they read to each other , give predictions on how story will end , give summary of the stories , do practice on spelling vocabulary and decoding .
