Summary

Wise people always say There are no Free Lunches , there is a cost associated with everything . Even the convenience and hassle free internet banking and online shopping have cost associated with them . A cost in terms of the risk of losing the sensitive data to the hackers who use smart softwares called as spyware . Spyware is the software that transfers the vital information surreptitiously from the user 's system to any other intended system

We consider the security and infrastructure of a company called XYZ Information Services which provides Software

services and the database maintenance and storage services to its clients . The company does the maintenance and support of various Software that are already getting used by its clients

Company XYZ has employee strength of 500 employees out of which around 25 , which is 5 of the support . These 5 of the people are called as network administrators The company owns 2 windows based servers and these servers provides access to a few common application like outlook (email servers Sametime connect (chat services ) etc . Every machine in the company is connected to either of these servers . Apart from this the installation rights on every machine plus the servers is allocated to only the network administrators .
