American and Indian Living

When an individual hears the word America , one thing comes in mind freedom . Considered as the land of the free , Americans are pretty much free of what they like to do - anything that does not break the country 's written laws . On the other hand , when a person hears the word India , the things that come in mind are religion and culture . Indians are known to be a country whose lifestyle

is based on culture and religion . This will discuss the similarities and differences on the lifestyle of Americans and Indians

Politics

American and Indian politics are completely different . The United States of America exercises a federal form of government , while India (officially the Republic of India ) practices a bicameral parliamentary form of government . A federal form of government has two governing bodies : the national government and the state government , each having different responsibilities and powers . The national government is responsible for the country 's defense and defining foreign policies . The government of India is headed by the Prime Minister who is appointed by the president . The president acts as the head of state , elected by an electoral college . We all know that the American and Indian governments are both democratic , but , I think , the democracy in the United States is more mature than that of the Indians
