As we enter into the age of globalization , more companies regardless of their size , capital structure or asset size , are all incorporating the idea of electronic commerce or e-commerce into their marketing plans and general business goals . E-commerce is very prevalent in any business today , most companies are now going online in to increase the presence of their brand and customer reach . Due to

this , we can see that there is an emergence of the importance of e-commerce in businesses because this is one tool where a company can be globally competitive

E-commerce in its broadest sense is defined as the means of conducting business through electronic means . But as we entered into the 21st century , E-commerce is now known as either businesses between companies as seen in the case of business-to-business E-commerce or between businesses and consumers or what is otherwise known as business-to-consumer E-commerce .
