The first book of Corinthians chapter fifteen is more than another important component to the subject of Christianity , it is central to its foundation and existence . The stated passage in the bible contains the text retelling the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ

Constantine

Dubbed the first Christian emperor , and referred to by many as Constantine the Great , the issue regarding the then Flavius Valerius Constantinus ' real faith and religious belief was fraught with controversy and discussion . The controversy existed largely due to the fact that despite Constantine 's professed leaning towards the Christian faith , the emperor waited until the knowledge of imminent death before being receiving baptism in his death bed . Giving the impression that he only underwent the sacrifice of baptism to be purged from a lifetime of sins and be saved from damnation

Bur despite such controversies , Constantine is regarded by many of being one of the most significant people to the history of Christianity His vision of a cross and the words with this sign , conquer ' in the late afternoon sky led to his conversion and later on , his issuance of the Edict of Milan , which decreed Christians the freedom of worship and pursuing the practice of their faith and religion

Various churches and religious structures were erected under his name and honor in the city of Rome . Constantine moved the capital of Christianity from Rome to what was then Constantinople (now Turkey , and re-established Christianity as the chief religion instead of the former Roman religion which took its root in the worship of various different deities . After his death , succeeding emperors would follow his lead and decree Christianity as the official religion of the state for years to come...
