international criminal

justice system

2004

I think , there should be three main components of International Criminal Justice System as in any criminal justice system . They are police courts and corrections . The police departments should be in every country in order to provide proper level of work . In order to prevent misunderstanding during court processes , for example , when prisoner at the bar has citizenship of one country and he is under court in another country , there should be a special organ , which gives consultations and provides with information of customs and

rules of country of citizenship and any kind of information regarding life of accused person (Maogoto Jackson Nyamuya . The members of all departments belonging to International Criminal justice System should not have civil posts and any kind of work which can influence their activity . It means , they should be maximum unprejudiced . Probably , part of them can be taken from volunteers and students of remedial institutions (Johnson , Sterling They will be obliged not only to have a theory regarding international justice system , but be a part of it - it means , they will be obliged to spend a part of year participating in justice processes , projects and different kinds of courses , probation programs and correctional activities as well . Corrections will include several kinds of activities . For example , prisons , different parole programs , electronic monitoring technologies as well (for example it is possible to use RFID technology in International Criminal Justice System . The RFID tag can be implanted into the prisoner and will have information about his personal data and law violations in order to watch him and to reinsure other civil people that he 'll not make anything . There are some scientific develops which allow to use RFID tags as a tag which controls some processes in human organism and can put some program inside tag (Saul Mendlovitz . Still , it can be deactivated after the prisoner will be free and becomes a law-abiding citizen . RFID tags will allow watching location of a person in any place of the world - it is quite important taking into consideration the events of September

Modernizations should be done in order to increase support for witnesses and victims , to provide good service for civil people and to assist courts , police , prisons and others to be more effective . Good idea is experimental accreditation of civil institutions helping police departments , more strategic approach to usage of new technologies technical and scientific programs . The persistent offenders should have more severe punishment , - so it means review of sentencing as well

The principle of sovereignty of different states can be replaced with principle of sovereignty of international community - so this is kind of way out .Works Cited
