Electronic government systems were first introduced in the public sector in the 1990

's and have since been introduced in different countries including the developing countries (Weerakkody , 2010 . The introduction of electronic systems in a government acts as a formula that can provide citizens of a country with government services in a business like manner . The main objectives that are accomplished with the implementation of these systems include improving the efficiency levels effectiveness and productivity of the government to the public sector while still maintaining focus and orientation of the costs

Through the e-government , governments are also in a position to reach out to more citizens with the easy access and availability of public services . Electronic government systems are one of the most influential methods that can help in the transformation of the public administration and meet the high standards that are set by the private sector .
