Having good leadership means being able to drive change . Change can only be brought about if an employee knows his own leadership style and skill . Quizzes and assessment tests such as these help in outlining where a certain employee leadership abilities lie and how the employees skills can be further enhanced . It also helps management in picking out natural leaders . Proper training and coaching can then take place once the employee 's leadership skill and

style is figured out . The leadership skill and style test has two parts . One analyzes whether an employee or candidate has inclination towards leadership while the other looks at techniques the participant /employee would use if put in a certain situation . Both are equally important in assessing the employee 's leadership capabilities

Leadership assessment tools such as tests are being used these days in the selection process . This reduces subjectivity of the interviewer and decisions are then made on results and not on gut feeling . Usually interviews and tests see the bright or good side of the candidate . They fail to bring an analysis of how an employee would act in a dicey situation . Only a thorough leadership skill and style can reveal the true identity of an applicant .
