A fourth characteristic of a mentor is that he represents an individual that possess a visionary for the organization . Fifth , a mentor has an influence that may steam from hierarchical power and develop the proven system for improvement . Sixth , a mentor performs an informal approach in dealing with a particular situation in to act persuasively depending on the needs and opportunity

Skills and abilities of Mentors

According to Donovan (2008 , in to be a mentor , there are several basic skills that one should master as following

Leadership skills . The key issue of being a good leader is mentor becomes a role model that inspires others to follow what he accomplish in their organizational role . In addition , mentors are also admired and respected for their achievements .
