Running head : SCHOLAR PRACTITIONER Scholar practitioner Author Date A scholar-practitioner in someone who combines scholasticism and being a practitioner through experience and training two aspects which are widely separated , in this session I have learnt a lot of ideas concerning the social change as an event or action that affects a group of individuals that have shared values or characteristics which can be incorporated to our social systems . I have understood that , as a scholar practitioner , I must engage myself in the process of propagating knowledge to my community

in to understand how we can contribute the knowledge of my diverse society through acquisition of new evaluative thinking skills
In addition , I must engage in ongoing reading and analysis of research to enlighten teacher practices as well as he in evaluation of the impact my practice on recipients through making a program of study and instruction decisions . A scholar practitioner should contribute to the knowledge base through various methods some of which include research writing , professional presentations and grant-writing to reinforce the field of education on multiple levels
Lastly , he links research to practice , and theory and experience by constantly working within learning communities like universities colleges and other polytechnics to foster a democratic society
