Divorce , 2008 Therefore , this explores the issue of divorce from theoretical perspective and observes its tremendous impact on the adults and children , before discussing adjustment issues and possible coping strategies for post-divorce situations

Relevance of Erik Erickson 's Theory

Human beings pass through several developmental stages on mental plane the outcomes of which heavily influence their external activities or physical condition . Social scientists like Erik Erickson had worked in this concept in depth and finally developed the idea of "Eight Stages of Development " in 1956 (Stages , 2007 , where Erickson regarded each stage as a "Psychosocial crisis " that demands resolution before one advances to the next stage .
