Abstract

Layoffs in U .S . companies occur because of internal and external factors that result to losses and the need to cut back on cost by decreasing employees . An effect on employees is low morale , with the extent of decline in morale depending on the proximity and experience of surviving employees with layoffs . Effective techniques that improve low-morale include inclusive , customized and interactive activities such as dialogue and support services .
