Certainly , every one of us has a number of occupations he /she likes or hates being involved in . Typically , we like doing the things we can do well , some special things we are able or trained to do , or the things we truly enjoy doing . Also , we tend not to like doing the things we have never been successful

in , the things which require a lot of different efforts of ours , or something which evokes bad or sad memories from our early life

The first thing I like doing is playing guitar . In high school I was trying so hard to learn and improve my playing , and it was something important that helped me to earn a good reputation among my classmates Once I played at a birthday party of my friend , and there was a guy who proved to be a professional guitarist . He liked my playing very much and invited me to visit the studio where his band was recording their compositions . That was an amazing experience : to watch real musicians working . Besides , I was lucky to meet there a member of one of my most favorite bands , Red Hot Chilly Peppers

Also , I like talking to people in Internet . Unfortunately , now I do not have much time for chatting online , but during my high school times I had a lot of friends around the world . It was a great opportunity to learn more about cross-cultural differences . Once I had to prepare a report about the French Revolution , and my friend from France helped me a lot with factual materials . Also , while browsing Internet databases I came across some old friends of mine from my home town . This summer we met again and even went camping together

Besides , I like spending time with my niece , Sarah . Usually , I am not too good with children , but Sarah loved me very much since she was a baby and we share a lot of great memories . Years ago I was teaching her to count , read and write , and then we used to play PC games together . I like this girl because she is a very smart child . Besides , she is interested in very serious mature things , like American economy or our coming presidential elections . She is 10 years younger than me , but we always have a lot of common problems to discuss

When talking about what I hate doing , the first thing which comes to my mind is ironing . When I was a child , I accidentally touched a hot iron with my palm , and that was really very painful episode . Besides , when I was a teenager , my mum forced me to help her with the housework , so my share of it was to iron our clothing and linen .
