They live with every family member that they have may it be their grandfather , grandmother , uncles aunts , cousins , cousins of cousins and the likes , the concept of family is not limited only to those of their close blood relatives but also other family members . For aborigines family is one of the greatest values that aborigines give importance

2 . Of course they are more primitive than us . Archaeologists have proved that they were descended from Homo erectus

Although archeologists have stated that indigenous peoples are Homo erectus it does not mean that they are more primitive than us . That is a wrong perception for Aboriginal people . Aboriginals are not primitive They just have their own cultures and traditions in which they whole-heartedly follow . Although they may look like they are primitive they still follow modernization - in their own ways . They had been born with strong identity . They strongly believe that they are born to be such and there is no other way for them to live . They believe and breathe their own culture unlike other civilizations present

3 . I don 't understand why they were so upset about being moved off the land to make way for farming . They were nomadic anyway , so what 's the problem

It is true that Aboriginals are nomadic , they do not stay permanently in one place however , they are taken away from their sanctuary - which is the bush . Although they are nomadic , they still stayed with in the bush They are at home if they are staying in the bush , similar to what Bob Randall discussed in one of his documentaries they are one with the nature . They are like brothers and sisters to them and without nature they feel like they have lost their family - they become incomplete Their issue with regards to their land is deeply rooted in their culture and history

4 . I never understood why they went around lighting bushfires all the time

For Aboriginals the lighting of bush fire is significant in their culture . They have used the bush lighting for many years for different purposes . Most of the popular reasons known are : hunting of animals which they use as their food or clothing material , for horticulture or plant propagation they burn the lands for them to have farming soil available .
