The United States of America has always been called the land of the free . It is one country that everyone , almost , would like to come and live at . They say that America is a country full of hope and fulfillment . Everyone wishes to fulfill the American dream . Nowadays the United States of America is seen as a hot spot for people aiming for economic growth , freedom and equality . For long the stories about what shaped America had been stories about how one struggled against poverty and how one made the journey to progress . One state that has been a very active part of the process of changing the ways of the United States of America was the state of Massachusetts This state has been regarded as the center of American Revolution Slavery is a rampant case during the old era but it was the state of Massachusetts who first abolishes it . This shows how much this state is craving for a true freedom and equality . The first few dwellers of the state were the Puritans this group has been an advocate of freedom and independence . The Puritans is a group of a religious group , Protestants that has been part of the American Revolution . The Article of Confederation was changed to the United States Constitution partly because of the Shay 's rebellion . This rebellion started from Massachusetts this shows how active this state is during those times when it comes to making a clearer picture of their American dream . The state has been involved in many wars and patriotic acts . It has been called the cradle of liberty for being a very important instrument for the unification of the thirteen states then that leads to independence of the United States of America .
