Introduction The American society has come a long way since independence in the year 1776 . There were so many historical events that affected and shaped the country and their effects are felt to this day . Some of these events include The American Revolution , the Civil War and Prosperity , Many others . This will give attention to three events and their interrelationships or interdependence three these events Great Events and the American Society These three great events are in the that the American Revolution was the first event which was also known as

the American war of independence from the year 1775- 1783 . If it were not this war American could have not realized its potential of prosperity . It gained identity and people were free to farm , adventure into the Wild West with great untapped resources . Many of the richest and prosperous states are among the very first states that fought in the Revolution , which include Massachusetts , Connecticut , New Hampshire and New York
After independence , the Civil War knocked the door in 1860s . Slavery had been abolished some year later after independence and as it was declared that all human being are equal the Civil War set in and the northern states united to fight the southern states which were very reluctant to free their slaves . The war that was fought was meant to free other fellow Americans from the bondage of slavery because the north had already witnessed the fruits of independence and freedom from slavery .
