This is mainly because the white dominance in the united states has led low income students to believe that they are the minority and inferior and therefore , as a result , do not qualify to become executives and leaders . Teachers and educators have greatly contributed to putting low income students at bottom positions of an occupational hierarchy . They are doing this by denying the students a strong and rigorous curriculum which is very important in placing students on success pathways both in college and in their careers

are implementing a different curriculum aimed at preparing rich students to become executives and leaders . Education is usually thought of as a developer of cognitive capabilities for individuals . A culture among the rich has been generated which provides that people who have more education and more qualified have the right to occupy high positions in the occupational hierarchy . In the United States , the affluent societies are also the most educated and so strive to provide better quality education to their children . The affluent societies believe that education gives students the capabilities that make them more skilled to occupy high positions in the occupation hierarchy . School districts of the affluent have therefore created different curriculums which are more rigorous and of a better quality so as to prepare the students for better job opportunities . Affluent students are trained in affluent schools and guided well on the courses and subject to select during their high school studies , since these courses help in shaping their career life The society expects much from the rich students , imposing a rigorous curriculum which they are expected to achieve . This kind of approach places the students in a position where they believe they should occupy the executive and the leadership positions (Margolis , E . 2001
