US is one of the nations in the world has highest ratio of their health care expenditures to their GDP . According to statistics , the US health care expenditures account for almost 15 of their GDP , which is more than any other nation in the world . Likewise , US also excel in terms of per capita health care expenditures . Not only in comparison with other nations , the trend is in itself growing in US , currently 15 of the GDP and expected to reach the mark of over 19 by 2016

The major mode of covering the health care in US is the health care insurance . Studies show that there is in being covered by health insurance , whatever the source may be .
