` Hamlet ` Act 1 Thesis statement Life is a play and we are the ones who decide how it ends . Morality is relative , that is , it depends on the person viewing the situation being presented . It is dictated by necessity and not by punctuality of conventional intents Act 1 is the embryo of the plays progress . It explains what makes him avenge his fathers ' death . The appearance of the ghost to Prince Hamlet provides the main progress of the later play . The ghost is one of the main the reasons that lead

the story to tragedy , though the real reasons that brought Hamlet to avenge his fathers ' death have build up throughout the play . Also , his beloved Ophelia rejected his love , thus constituting more to his rage . Hamlet intends to meet the ghost personally because it resembles his father , the old Hamlet and also to find out who might have planned the cause of his death . The appearance of the ghost , though Hamlet cannot tell if it is indeed his father shows his true love for his father and that he valued him so much . He believed in the ghost unhesitant , without even thinking that it maybe a trick of someone who wants his destruction . This encounter shows that the things that had happened still affect its offspring . Hamlet did know the idea of hate through his parents . However , Hamlet lacks interest in love and got even more confused by his Uncle and mother . Hamlet had become a madman when his mother married Uncle Claudius after months of his fathers ' death . Also he became out of control and has lost a sense of direction . He had come to a point of desperation , because he does not know who to believe and thought of taking his own life (Littauer , 2007 - URL cited . I agree that what was Hamlet was going through is also the problem for some of us . Some people exhibit the same reaction when they encounter problems . Life is lot like gambling . There are winning and losing , and for each game we have to be smart enough to make sure that we don 't risk much . As for our lives , we don 't get what we always want Worse than that , we get the least of what we aspire . We can solve problems in whatever way that we want . We can escape it though , by taking your own lives . Often times it is too hard to settle on a decision , because we have to look upon different point of views . As from the play , Hamlet got puzzled if he will believe that the ghost is indeed his father . But since he was confused , he was easily blinded by his rage thus believing for all the confessions the ghost had told him .
