HR/Employee Relations: Health,Safety and Security
There will be three stages like opening conference , tour of the facility and closing conference OPENING CONFERENCE The opening conference takes one hour . During this hour related s discussed and general questions can be asked by the inspector like purpose of visit , serving copy of the compliant , if complaint is existed , why the employer was selected etc . the inspector also gives OSHA pamphlets which should be kept for reference . The information asked by the inspector in the shape of warrant should be provided . The information may include such records Hazard communication

written program , lockout /tag out written program , injury illness log in Form 200 , Exposure Accident records in Form 101 and other safety programs details . However , the employer is not required to provide Trade secrets records , photographs and video tapes which are provided under Confidential-Trade of u /s 29 CFR 1903 .9 . Records , which are not provided in the warrant , need not also be provided
TOUR OF THE FACILITY
In this process , the inspector and the representative makes the inspection by visiting the place . It includes talking with employees taking photos . Etc . Hence the employer should not allow the inspector to go independently without accompanying the representative . The employer should also inform to the employees not to give more information to the inspector . During the inspection , the inspector identified the violations . If the employer /representative agrees the violations and caused to fined . Hence always it is better that employer should not accept the violations , in to avoid the present situation . The employer should seek that more talks with the inspector should be avoided . Accurate information only to be provided to the inspector . The false information even lead to criminal offense . If the inspection going to beyond day ensure that notes , measurements taken should be kept separately for next day reference...
