Running Head : GUIDING YOUNG CHILDREN Guiding Young Children Aged 3 to 5 Years Old (Student 's Name (School Name (Professor 's Name (Course or Subject Introduction The purpose of my is to show that three to five year old children can be guided into learning what they need to succeed later on when they grow up through guided play and by adapting lessons through their own learning styles . Many people believe that children learn best by tutoring but my principle is that young children can learn best about something by experience and

fun activities adapted to their individual interests and developmental progress
This has been organized accordingly to help readers understand my principle on rearing children of the preschool age . I shall be discussing the kind of environment wherein children learn best developmental stages that they may be undergoing to understand their behavior , what I believe children should learn to succeed when they grow up and the adult-child relationship . I shall also tackle the importance of developing goals , behavioral objectives and methods to help adults guide preschool aged children in realizing their full potentials
This , however , does not pursue the goal of instructing parents on how to rear their own children . Nor does this want to delve on the issue of the type of disciplinary actions parents should use . The Learning Environment
Children , I believe , learn best when they are free to touch or experience what they see . Most of the time , adults are always cautioning kids not to do certain stuff and this limits their ability to learn about their world . Children must be motivated to learn by focusing their attention to what they can do instead of what they must not
Safety is always a concern when children are involved . Most of the time , kids are not allowed to move freely in a room that has a lot of breakable items or danger zones . Children are naturally curious because they hunger for more information about their surroundings . Being in a child-friendly place where things can be touched without fear of breakage or harm to the child can satisfy the thirst for more information about his or her environment . A child-friendly room boasts of furniture with rounded or cushioned corners , colorful but non-breakable decorations , covered electrical sockets and non-slippery flooring . When children are allowed to touch and experience their surroundings first hand , learning is hastened
Focusing on a child 's successes rather than failures can improve the kid 's learning environment . Most adults believe that it is their duty to inform children of what they should not do so that they can have the necessary discipline to succeed later on in life . However , this discourages exploration and may even harm the child 's self-esteem . A better option is to keep praising children on the correct things...
