Introduction The Great Awakening as stated here was a religious movement which came to existence in the period covering 1730 and 1740 (Butler , pp . 305-25 During this time , travelling ministers gave very strong messages concerning salvation . These messages offered the Americans of the earliest times a great nationality sense . This turned out to be very crucial as it played a major role in reforming America . The movement made a long lasting effect concerning the way in which the colonies of America were perceived together with their faith . This essay seeks to

This great movement was great in the way it was perceived to prepare people for death through making strong their faith . This was indeed a great deal in America during the colonial period . The likelihood of death was very prevalent all over in the colonial era (Butler , pp 305-25 .
