Ulysses Simpson Grant 's Biography

In Point Pleasant , in the year of 1822 on 27th April , Ulysses Simpson was born . He was brought up in the city of Ohio , Georgetown . Before going to the Presbyterian Academy , he used to go to the local schools and later on he was appointed to the West point . Through his academy life he was not the best student although his math was good . After graduation he went to army unit and stationed at Jefferson Barracks

Missouri . In 1846 war of America with Mexico , Grant worked with General Zachary Taylor and Winfield Scott . Later on he was advanced to first lieutenant . His service to military continued to year 1854 , when he tried farming after resignation from army . He has been through hard time for which he also had to sell his farm and did not rejoin the military until 1861 when the Civil war took place . Restoration of seceded states to Union was the biggest issue of Grants as being a president of nation With the help of federal troops he occupies the South , his management staff fought for blacks and against those states who were racists and denies the rights of blacks to vote .
