An eye witness reports that Jesus had resurrected and all the disciples would have to go to Galileo and meet this eyewitness again . It also describes a woman who was trembling and was amazed . She did not say anything , but simply fled the scene . Some scholars feel that the later chapters of Mark 's Gospel were lost . Mark 's Gospel could most probable not ended in such a fashion , but on a more positive note . Mark may have probable thought that the woman kept silent because she felt that the disciples did not have anything to do with the tomb being empty . Mark had build a strong meaning through the earlier sections of the Gospel , and it could not end so abruptly The language that Mark utilized in the ending of his Gospel also does not correspond to the language and the words he used in earlier sections of his Gospel . Mark had strongly utilized the testimonials of women in his Gospel , and it is unlikely for him to give an account of a woman who kept her mouth closed .
