`Gorillas in the Mist!`
Name Professor Subject June 30 , 2008 Gorillas in the Mist As a tribute to Dian Fossey 's heroism and ideology as environmentalist and anthropologist , the movie entitled Gorillas in the Mist ' by Michael Apted showed the life and passion of Dian Fossey towards the species that need help and concern from the society . The movie encompasses the dignity of a woman with her perspective as activist or defenders of the primates . Because of the fact that she enjoyed and loved the environment of the gorillas , she learned how to

adapt to their environment and showed her connection to the kingdom of animals Therefore , it only means that Dian Fossey symbolizes strength , freedom knowledge , learning , and belief that each and every one of us must obtain in to become extra sensitive to the needs of our animals
There are several parts of the movie that shows creativity , point of argument , point of attack , and special perspective of the main character - Dian Fossey . Though the main context of the film is about her career and life while being with the primates , the director still showed human love and relationship in contrast to the relationship between human and animals
I love the scene where the main character and her guides led her to the mountain where the primates live . It shows that the movie did not cater the life of Fossey but the distinction and relationship between white and black in a society of less privileged and poor . It symbolizes the richness of culture and tradition despite of the smallness of the location through the thinking and social justification of people of Uganda
Another touching part is when one of the gorillas was killed by the people of the Uganda . Fossey did not know what to do but she has full of distress and pain while watching the killing of the primate . She made a vow or respect to the dead gorilla with deep sorrow into her eyes . This part of the movie showed her connection to the primates . She wanted to learn more from the gorillas trying to defy their extinction but she is alone - she has no greater power being alone so she stayed in the mountain and have the best time with the primates showing her gratitude and respect towards these mammals
After watching this movie , I realized that she made a change . She fought for the betterment of the animals , specifically the primates . Her death was immoral and brought tragic to the field of anthropology environment , and conservation but what she had shown before her death brought significance to the life and ecosystem of each and every one of us . Though she suffered , she imposed transformation towards the extinct and against the illogical perspective of the society to the animals
Many people cried after this woman died . However , she lived and will still live into the hearts of many especially the Uganda people because she tried her best to change what is needed to make the endangered...
