He further extends his argument when he said that these contenders were just using the weak ones as pawns because during these times , the power is up for grabs and they need all the help they can get . The events that transpired during the Cold War will never be fully unraveled for everybody to know . The author may feel resentment towards those people who played a crucial role in one of the darkest moments in history , and I , for one , share his sentiments . As powerful political figures , the Big Three lost their perspective on things that really matter . They made a move that would be beneficial to their own countries , so I have to give them credit for that . But the disappointing part is that they made it at the expense of others .
