This is not so much as to the trade tariffs or barriers as much as it is for the decreasing comparative advantage of each country when competing with each other for a share of American

market as each country too has an advantage in some way or the other . This of course leads to bitter competition and seldom can a company raise its prices above those of its competitor nor show any decrease in its quality , technology or durability . In addition to this there is the generally high consumer awareness among the US citizens that once more reassures that only the very best of the foreign product do enter the American markets . Such is this consumer psychology of the average American that no product can find itself marketable if found to be highly priced , low on quality , not adhering to the safety standards , non usable , durable as per the nature of the product as well as other social and political nature of the product in the country of its origin and the way it has been manufactured
