Virtualization refers to the combination of data from different sources to

a single storage facility that will allow for easy access and control of information within an organization . Storage virtualization refers to the process of storing data in a central location and through a system administrator the data is made available to any client within a local network . The coordination also supports backing up and full recuperation of information for use in the organization . Storage virtualization revolves around the Storage Area Network (SAN ) and provides for a central collection point of data within the operating environment .
