Abstract

North Korea has increasingly been accused of pursuing nuclear ambitions contravening most of the international treaties and agreements set in place to combat weapons of mass destruction . As a chief player at the global front , the United States should remain in the forefront in the search for a working solution to

the issue which not only threatens the neighboring countries , but the entire world in general . In light of the subsequent failures of the various policy decisions implemented by the international community in an attempt to denuclearize the country , this study proposes the adoption of a comprehensive approach entailing increased direct talks in addition to offering more economic incentives as the most feasible way out

The foreign policy initiatives adopted by the United States are of vital global significance , particularly the country 's position as the world 's super-power . Thus , any foreign decisions embraced by the government should be well-thought , as they are keenly watched by the entire global fraternity .
