Focus Group Interview
Maximizing the ability of focus groups to enhance cooperation and information sharing has enabled individuals to decipher important traits in to achieve specific goals and objectives . As it tries to gain information and insights from each members , it instill valuable competency in getting the job done . In the end , by understanding its relevance , focus groups can lead to opportunities for the growth and development of participants Looking at its relative strengths , this initiative offers the ability to decipher behaviors towards a particular and serve as an avenue for clarifying objectives and

goals (Hardwick Research , 2007 . Moreover it fosters greater cooperation among the group by introducing new dynamics for sharing and responses . On the other hand , the disadvantage of focus groups is its inability to represent the whole group and most of the time opinions are influenced by dominant people within the group (Hardwick Research , 2007
Given these ideas , upon my observation of my participation in one focus group , I was able to see its relevant strengths and weaknesses . I was able to maximize the questions and analyze the responses of participants as far as designating academic advisors is concerned and their contributions to students . At the same time , I saw important manifestations of how communication is facilitated verbally and non-verbally . I learned that body gestures also affect the responses of individuals and often showcased their opinions and insights about the issue
