The cardiovascular endurance depends on the cardiovascular system 's ability to pump blood and deliver oxygen through the body . It is also the body 's capability to finish or accomplish the task given in a period of time . This factor is a vital element in a fitness program . Another benefit of improving cardiovascular endurance is decreasing the risk of life threatening heart diseases . Normal heart rate ranges from 60 - 85 beats per minute or 100 ,000 beats per day . The muscular endurance is the ability to sustain an effort or produce work overtime . Muscular endurance can be measured in several ways depending on the activity being studied .
