FINAL QUESTIONS

I would have to disagree that critical thinking is cold and dispassionate , because the process is not just a cerebral rational attribute and act . Critical thinking is equally informed by passion emotion and imagination . Critical thinkers seek something positive as a solid basis for their beliefs , so the two terms do not really fit critical thinking . Being a critical thinker therefore is bigger than just cognitive acts of logical reasoning and the careful consideration of arguments . It also involves an ability to find assumptions behind actions , beliefs and behavior

, and bring creativity to the activity of thinking . However , critical thinking for me does lead to slow downs in activity , as critical thinkers ' quest for truth requires that they be slow to reach conclusions . `Slow ' here , nevertheless , does not mean sluggish or dawdling .
